It was a big night for Cate Blanchett as she joined her fellow cast members and husband Andrew Upton to promote their new stage play “Uncle Vanya” in New York City on Saturday (July 21).
The Academy Award-winning actress looked effortlessly chic at the Big Apply event held at the New York City Center in a geometric white and black dress while posing for photographers before heading into the event.
The 43-year-old actress hit the Broadway stage to portray the role of Yelena in her husband’s adaptation of the Anton Chekhov classic “Uncle Vanya.”
In a recent interview with NY1, the “Knight of Cups” actress explained her inspiration behind the project saying, “For me the importance was not so much to play Yelena but to be part of the ensemble. That was my drive.”
